Contract Research
A diverse range of technical and research services are available through HEARworks that includes access to state-of-the-art research infrastructure such as:
- Sound-treated rooms and a large anechoic chamber;
2D and 3D acoustic spaces to reproduce and evaluate performance in real world environments;
Magnetoencephalography (MEG) imagers for standard use and the world’s only MEG imager for use with cochlear implantees;
Engineering expertise for development of speech and sound processing algorithms;
Pre-clinical in vivo and in vitro hearing impairment models;
Microfocus radiographic imaging capabilities for real-time imaging; and
Health literacy assessment.
Our engineering expertise has a proven track record in developing speech processing strategies for use in hearing aids, cochlear implants and telecommunications equipment. These successful strategies have designed technologies to maximise speech intelligibility and hearing comfort in a variety of hearing situations.
Our programmers and engineers have extensive expertise in a variety of software packages including Borland C++ and Matlab, and can develop algorithms tailored to meet the needs of any strategy or create the right program environment to implement an existing algorithm in a variety of hearing technologies.
HEARworks has exclusive access to a specialised micro-focus radiography and imaging facility that produces high quality, digital micro-focus images of small equipment components and zoological and anatomical specimens that can be used to provide precise records of internal anatomical details and component position.
We can also provide electrode position analysis support using its CView software upon request .
Please contact HEARworks for more information or to arrange a meeting to discuss potential contract research opportunities with us.
